Brown and salt the Ground Beef then remove from the pan. Hold to the side until after the blending.
In the rendered fat from the browning process sauté the onions and
garlic to your desired doneness. Note: If there is not enough fat from
the browned ground beef a tablespoon of tallow or lard works great! (or
oil)
To a blender add in the cooked onions, cooked garlic, tomato and blend until smooth.
Pour the contents of the blender into a pot and add the browned ground
beef, spices and the desired amount of bone broth, bring to a boil then
turn down to a low simmer for 45 minutes.
Keep an eye on the thickness at this point during the long simmer and adjust with bone broth if needed.
Add in the beans and simmer for another 15 minutes.
Taste and adjust salt and chili heat if necessary. You can always add in but you can’t take it out!
